Helping with housing, debt or legal issues

Whether you need help with housing, debt or legal issues, we have someone to help.

Supporting Barnsley Residents as much as we can!

How We Help

Romero Communities is focused on providing support & Guidance for the Barnsley Community

Romero Communities is a small local Charity led by a group of local people, Friends of Romero, which was based in a local church building, St Helens Athersley.

It had previously been managed by Roundhouse Community Partnership which closed. Romero Communities was then constituted in March 2012 registering as a Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee.

We can help you solve your own problems whether it's housing, debt or counselling related

Some of our volunteers have been here for many years, so we have a great deal of experience. We don't tell you what you should do: the idea is to give you a range of options to choose from, so that you solve your problems in your own way, based on the very best information we can find.

Romero Communities

Aimed At Providing A Range Of Opportunities And Support For The Local Barnsley Community

We offer a variety of volunteering opportunities ranging from tea-making to Support & Guidance, and we are always on the look-out for people who can help with fundraising and leadership.

We are especially keen that our future Board members should be local people who work with us as volunteers in our day-to-day activities.

Want to Support Romero Communities?

Romero Communities has always benefited from kind donations from friends and supporters. In the past, this money paid for extras such as tea, coffee and biscuits. Now our funding situation is so difficult that we need these donations to pay for more basic things like phone bills, office paper and printer cartridges too.

We are very aware that people have less money to spare these days, so we are more grateful than ever when people still manage to support our work through giving. If you feel you would like to help in this way and you have your bank details handy, please click the Donate button and follow the instructions there to either use PayPal or your card.

You can then choose to make a one-off donation, or perhaps you might consider giving on a regular basis. Thank you very much for your support.
